CODEFUSE 2.0 is a premier online hackathon and intra-faculty coding competition, hosted on the HackerRank platform, exclusively for students of the Faculty of Computing, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Designed to ignite innovation and empower the next generation of developers, CODEFUSE brings together the brightest minds within the faculty for an intense coding battle to transform ideas into impactful solutions.
With each edition, CODEFUSE continues to advance technological innovation by bridging the gap between concepts and execution, fostering a collaborative ecosystem of creativity, leadership, and excellence.
THE JOURNEY OF CODEFUSE 2.0
REGISTRATION OPEN
This competition is exclusively for students of the Faculty of Computing, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Participants can sign up and form their teams as registration opens for all eligible students ready to embark on this exciting coding journey.
REGISTRATION CLOSED
Once the deadline is reached, registration is officially closed. Teams are finalized, and the stage is set.
AWARENESS SESSION
A dedicated session to guide participants through the hackathon process, rules, and expectations—ensuring everyone is prepared and inspired.
HAKATHON DAY
A 9-hour online coding competition hosted on HackerRank. Participants from all three batches solve algorithmic challenges and compete in real-time.
WINNERS ANNOUNCEMENT
Top performers from each batch (1st, 2nd, and 3rd year) are recognized. Winners are selected based on problem-solving accuracy, speed, and overall score.
HACKATHON RULES
Registration Guiedlines
- This Hackothon is only for Faculty of Computing students University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
- Competitors can apply as individuals or groups of 3 or less.
- The team leader should fill up the form.
- The team name should be the team's hackerrank handle (will be informed later).
Hacker-Rank Guiedlines
- Team leader must create one HackerRank account for the whole team.
- Go to https://www.hackerrank.com/signup.
- Sign up using the email (do not use Google/Facebook/GitHub login).
- Go to Settings > Personal Information on HackerRank.
- In the “Username” field, change it to your official team name (as registered in CodeFuse).
- Save the changes. Your HackerRank account is now ready.
- Share the email, username, and password with all team members securely.
- Use this shared account to log in when the contest link is provided.
- Join the contest using the same account — only one account per team is allowed.
